10 Life Lessons I Learned From Bejeweled Blitz

Whenever I login to my Facebook account, I try to keep it as brief as I possibly can, scanning recent posts and checking on messages and comments that I feel I need to reply to. That is until I hit on the Bejeweled Blitz button. What's with BB, you might ask. I dunno either. It's like asking a smoker what's with a cigarette. But lemme tell you this, it's a treasure trove of wisdom that you can take with you for life. Here's what I've dug up so far:

As long as your time is not up, there is always a move that you can make no matter how much you think you've used up all the moves that there can be. That's why it's important to take a hint from people who mean you well.
Speed is just as important as a good idea.
Coins are earned for using, not for hoarding. But use 'em wisely.
Oftentimes, the scrambler is a lot more powerful than extra time. Kinda like in real life, what will you do with all the time in the world if luck isn't on your side? If on the other hand you have the knack for finding opportunity in the bleakest and darkest of situations, then life for you is a blast.
Sometimes you keep looking for solutions in the exact same spot and you miss out on all the other good opportunities sitting right beside it.
Sometimes you think you made a slick move and you almost give yourself a pat on the back until you notice that you just blew up the chance for a perfect gem.
Sometimes you stick to the same trick over and over again, and, when the game's all about done, you realize how you could have done so much better.
You're gonna be miserable if you keep looking at your standing in the tally board. Play for fun. Compete with yourself alone.
Addiction starts with a moment of innocent fun that you think you have perfect control over, until you let it control you.
Be careful lest you waste your entire life on fool's gold.

No. 4 was actually the first that I came up with. At naisulat ko ito kahapon sa kalagitnaan ng laro habang tamad tamaran sa bahay dahil QC day (holiday, yehey!). BB ako all day and all night long. Actually exaj, kumain naman ako, gumawa ng chores at natulog din.

Sayang naman, nagkita kami ni Luca nung Fri the 13th. We were with his friends.
