The Fallen Angel
Deception
It was a cool midnight summer.
Marvin didn’t know how long he had slept before he was pulled from slumber by a soft moan. Even before his eyes could focus, he heard again the woman’s voice from the other bed. The sound increased in urgency and as Marvin fought to clear out his mind from sleep, the woman suddenly cried out, “No! No! Oh my God, No!”
Wide-awake now, Marvin quickly jumped out of bed knowing that it was his girlfriend. Instantly, he sprang into her side and clamped his hands over her mouth. Her brilliant eyes widened with fright; she stared at him with recognition.
“Gladys! Gladys!” He whispered. “It’s me Marvin, you’re dreaming!”
She stopped from moving, and for a moment she felt a sudden relief. Gasping in fear, she threw herself on him, wrapped her arms around her lover’s neck.
“Oh, I had a terrible nighmare.” She gasped as tears escaped from her eyes. Oblivious of her girlfriend’s real feelings, Marvin figured out how to muffle the sound of her crying. And so, he gently kissed her on the lips. She was surprised of what he did.
He enfolded her into his arms and laid a trail of kisses from her lips, over her ears, down to the fluted column of her throat. He was intoxicated by the smell of her skin, and the softness of her body caused the desire within him to intensify.
She enjoyed the first tender kisses, but as they increased in intensity, she became uneasy. Gladys tried to push him away. Rather than let her go, Marvin held more tightly and pressed his scalding lips down to her neck and along shoulders.
“ Babe, please stop it!” Stop it!” she demanded as she tried to break lose. But her boyfriend persisted, even wilder.
“ In God’s name Marvin, have pity!” she cried out. But he ignored her plea; he was succumbed with the passionate need to claim her body.
So, with frenzied effort, she kicked him in the groin!
Marvin howled in pain and came crashing back to reality. The moment he released her, Gladys scampered away from him. Her eyes flared in fear and dismay and they began to wet.
“Please spare me a respect Marvin! How many times I told you I am not ready for that.” Her lips trembled in fear and disdain. The two faced each other across the expanse of the bed like embattled animals.
He abruptly tore his eyes off Glady’s and walked towards the window. He threw it open and let a blast of frigid air cascaded over him. The knifing cold of the summer night caused his teeth to chatter, and he trembled from the violent cooling of his passion. He felt like a dying man in the death-dealing grip of fever and extreme shame.
“ I’m sorry…”
Gladys crouched lower in her corner, and with her anger draining away, she also felt sorry for what she did.
“ Babe, I am sorry too…it’s just that I am not ready for that. Please understand…”
“ I was just driven by intense love for you.” Forgive me.”
Marvin explained as he settled on a chair, but then he was still uneasy.
Gladys did not say anything more. So, for awhile they were waiting for whosoever would break the deafening silence.
“ By tomorrow then, we'll go home.” Marvin said apologetically.
“ Okay, let’s forget about it…”
“ Thanks babe…I will make it up with you. I will order something to drink and nibble in the counter, what d’you think?”
“ It is the least you could do for now after what you have done while ago…” Gladys mischievously chuckled but deep within she was touched by his thoughtfulness. He smiled and off he went out of the room.
Left alone, Gladys went to a nearby window, savoring the night’s beauty. Not so far, she saw the glittering crests of the waves dashing to the shore. A cool wind touched her skin giving her a melodramatic sensation.
Her moment of calm was interrupted as Marvin came into view carrying a tray with slices of bread, peanuts and two cups of brewed coffee. Because of such gesture, she awarded him with a kiss.
Marvin smiled and whispered, “ Babe, I love you…”
The coffee’s aromatic smell mingled with his words, bringing her to ecstatic heights. He gently placed the tray on the side table and offered her the cup.
She gently sipped though it was still hot. They swapped stories and banters until she consumed it. Marvin kept silent for a while, his eyes fixed on her. She looked at him figuring out what was running on his mind.
With the moonlight, she could vividly see his face; the brown eyes, the pointed nose and kissable lips. For a moment, she was just staring at him.
“ Do you really love me?” she asked.
He gave a weak smile and touched her heart shape face. She waited for an answer. Then, after awhile she felt dizzy and somewhat drunk. Her eyes gained weight. She desperately shook her head to get back from the treason of her senses. The image of Marvin’s face became blurred and hazy, her vision doubled and redoubled.
“ What’s happening to me?”
Marvin caught her with his arms as she stumbled. Then suspicions quickly rushed over her mind. With the strong will to remain conscious, she questionably looked at him. Her boyfriend’s angelic face changed: his eyes were lusty and his smile was sarcastic.
Instantaneously, Gladys had drawn a conclusion! She struggled to break loose from his grip; yet, he was strong and she felt weak and frail to move. She tried to shout but he immediately clamped his hands over her mouth.
Gladys’ eyes widened and beckoned for his mercy. But the more he tightly held her body. Tears brimmed from her eyes as she desperately tried to get lose from his grip but she failed. After a while, she was unconscious.
The moment of terror began. Again, another angel was deceived by the devil’s gentle acts and ever-lying tongue. #
^^
I had to hit my head first... hehe.
Because of the title, I thought that this was a fantasy piece and that Marvin was the fallen angel (which as Pmel said, I took to be a devil). After thinking of what to say here, I finally realized that he just drugged Gladys instead of using some supernatural powers. Haha!
Well... um, not a feminist, hehe. The story left me with a lot of questions such as why sleep with your boyfriend in a hotel when you're not ready to have sex yet.
RJ :)
just a little explanation
It is just simple: she trusts much her boyfriend. And she wants to remain pure as she walks towards the altar. Hey, I sometimes invite my gf's before to go out of town with my friends and we stayed in one room yet in different beds (hehehehe), and nothing happens. It is just a matter of respect pal. hehehehe!
Ciao!

Hi Jondy! I'm Pmel!
Hi Jondy! I’m Pmel, one of the regulars in this site. How do you do?
Well, assuming that your work, “A Fallen Angel” is not completed, I have come to critique it. I hope you don’t mind.
Perhaps, you could go back to your story and play along with the above explanation I gave you. It would make it a lot more interesting. Of course, this is my own opinion. The final decision is yours to make because you know, this is a good story… a good story. ^^b
