a late thought on the GUILTY verdict for ERAP.
ERAP HAS TO BE GUILTY. well not because i believe he is guilty. The verdict has to be guilty, because if not then Gloria will be facing charges too, grabbing of power.
Erap was overthrown because he was said to have plundered whatever, that gave the legality of Gloria's sitting to the presidency. So if Erap is not guilty that action by gloria and many other government officials then was illegal, and obviously conspired inorder for Erap to be thrown away. i could only imagine the problem this will cause our country.
I am wondering who's the stupid adviser that advised gloria that she will give Erap a pardon. my gosh what were they thinking?
it is every sad that our governement is lke a LAOS circus show.
reply-it's nothing new...
the king is selfish. he did not really wanted to end the anarchaic system of the government, he did not really want to make the people happy, he just doesn't want that the people will still be happy and properous even without him. his greedy heart thinks he owned that prosperity and happiness, he doesn't want to give it away...
i hope this saying will leave meaning to both the citizenry and the government.
"the people should not fear the government, it should be the government fearing the people, because it exists for and bacuse of the people.

Yes but the point is, the people are oblivious to the source of their short-term freedom. Like what Augusta said, truth isn't everything. To the people, the truth is that the king ruled in prosperity. He gave them what they asked for. And the king... the king knew that you cannot buy freedom. There's much bloodshed needed for sacrifice whether you like it or not. He would rather make "utang" than spend his years on battle grounds. It's like cheating death but everyone comply to it so it's not as bad. But it is bad for the next generation...
But God gave us the freedom to chose. At least the king did think of granting his people in his time, a taste of heaven before parting from this world. Is that not brave of him? It's also quite selfish to think of glory for your people with their life as a price for freedom and for luxery. That's genocide.
I for one agree to live in peace now, then leave the rest to the next generation. Let that be their problem. Not ours. But if I were the next generation, what other choice have I but to fight? You can't complain. What's been done has been done. The only thing to do is to weave around the problem and survive it than foolishly face it. That's suicide.
i dont think so...
so what if Gloria would face charges against grabbing of power and filed as illegitimate leader in the position?
if thats the truth....
and i do think so.
one should not be condemed just because we dont want chaos, much trouble, or just because we cannot imagine such problem that it would bring the country, if we do not.
the truth shall always prevail.
and try to think about this:
there is no clean president. all of them are corrupt, even that woman sitting in the palace right now.
its just that, she manipulates everything and twists her "not-so-right" doing to make it right.
come to think of this:
its not because the majority believe that THIS IS the truth would really mean its the truth-----------
"majority does not mean 'truth'."
i don't think so-reply

i know i am correct with this, majority of the people know that erap is not really guilty, in a manner that gloria had also benefitted with huweteng money, and that she is more corrupt than erap.
we can't do anything with erap's verdict, it's the drama of our government, much as we disdain we have to bear. all we can do is watch, speak in our minds, and maybe send our thoughts to newspapers, which the people in the palace will not mind and just continue enjoying the power we have mistakenly vested upon them.
another, and this I believe is the best thing that we can do is to pray. pray that on the next elections, the filipino people would have been enlightened, and would have learned how to use the power of their votes.
and also that filipinos would realize that: the people should not fear the government, its the government who should fear the people, because it exists because, and for the people.
Cigarette's WARNING: GOVERNMENT KILLS!
as what you have said, the government should fear the people; and we are the people(who else?), so definitely, we can do something about it, if we only will.
the president is made for the people and not the people made for the president!(the president should internalize this)
why would you give respect and gratitude(like letting them enjoy what they should not?) to a corrupt and illegitimate public SERVANT?
you know why people fear the government?
its because of the reason that the "government" can make you fear them, just like what the cigarette kiddingly says:
GOVERNMENT KILLS!!!(and this is no joke.)
poor Filipino people...
;p
Um... Erap is partial to the crime.
No matter how minimal your cause, if you're a puppet government figure, then you are also responsible. And because you are a puppet, you are also aware of the actions in which you involve yourself. Ignorance is not an excuse. That gets old.
And if you are a president, participating on illegal cause, why would you carelessly leave trails of those criminal acts? Is Erap just being stupid? I think he was. Not only was he being stupid, he couldn't care what he does because someone else is handling the strings. The question is, who is the puppeteer?
reply- um... Erap is partial to the crime,
who's the puppeteer? so sad, we may never know.

Insurance policy
GMA's pardon of ERAP is an insurance policy against the reprisals, vengeance and outright meanness that the opposition members would inflict on her the moment she steps down from Malacanang. This is a nefarious trade that all our politicians engage in and they comply because there is honor among thieves.

It's nothing new...
Every government in every country is a circus show one way or the other. It just so happens that Philippine Government is one of the top ten most corrupt in the world.
Here's something interesting... The government is another form of law, the modern monarchy. The only difference is the name. Because presidency is no difference from kings or queens ruling over a nation. That being said, I'll tell you a story of a king:
Once upon a time, a king ruled over his land in peace and harmony till his death. His rule was known as "The Golden Years." What followed was a series of wars and atrocities that tore his beloved country into separete colonial segments. His grand son, the failed prince went up to the eldest advisors who used to be a close friend of his grandfather. According to the advisor, the Prince's grandfather signed a contract with many of the neighboring nations, promising not to harm his country until after his death. The Prince was furious and couldn't understand the logic behind his grandfather's decision. The advisor then told him, "Your grandfather would rather die seeing his people happy than leave this world at the peak of anarchy."
Was the king being selfish? Perhaps but the people who didn't know the secret behind his Great Rule, sure didn't think so.
