A personal favor...please vote for my photos
I AM A PHOTO HOBBYIST and I love taking photographs during my travels or just even a short walk at the park or shopping. In other words, photography is one of my passions in life. Without my camera, I am hopeless and my day is not complete. It is indeed, my compact digital camera is my secret companion which provides me the inspiration to value life, family and friends, work, the environment...everything! Through the lens of my camera, I can see different emotions, textures, colours, dreams, hopes and the inspirations to live!
For the past years, I always dream to take part in any local or international photo competition. And this time, I was able to participate in an international contest organised by the New York Institute of Photography. My two photos were accepted a week ago and the mechanism is quite simple. You need votes from anyone who has the chance to view my photos and aiming to be in top 100 at the end of the voting which is due on Saturday, 15 Sept 2007.
This is really a personal favor! Really, I am inviting everyone who have access to my blog to visit my personal website and view these images. If you think these images capture your heart or maybe you think they deserve a place in the 100 spots for the final selection, then dont hesitate to cast your vote.

Briefly, the first photo is a B&W image of Giant's Causeway - a UNESCO heritage site in Northern Ireland. I love B&W and through this historical site, I could show the magic match of these colours. The second photo is the boy in the band during the 12 July Orange parade which happens every year in Belfast.
I remember, every year our Miss Universe-Philippine candidate always wins the Miss Photogenic title and this is because of the on-line voting. Im not saying here that I will get the grand prize, but Im hoping that I will have the opportunity to be in the final round of the competition.
WELL, I DO HOPE that I will be getting more votes before the weekends.

***Thanks for the comment and I absolutely agree with you. But because of my current residence, the easiest way to submit photos for this kind of competition is my latest shots taken where I live now. Yes, I always promote Philippines thru my photographs which are posted in my flicker accounts(http://www.flickr.com/photos/digital_explorer/sets/).
The other problem why I did not bother to submit about Philippines, because most of my photos taken back where I was there were all in negatives (not digital) so by scanning it reduces its quality. Only now I start using digital for easy updating and of course to improve the quality of the image. Anyway, thanks for the vote and hopefully next time I will do what you have said.
