A SUMMER ADVENTURE WITH TANGHALANG PILIPINO

Are you trying to choose the best workshop to attend this summer? Then gear up for Tanghalang Pilipino’s Summer Theater Adventure! This fun-filled three-week workshop program is where you can discover the wonderful world of theater even while you have fun and make friends!

Leading the entire adventure are skilled instructors that are highly-trained in the dynamics of acting. Members of the teaching staff are handpicked for their talent and ability to share with their students the wealth of their experiences.

This summer, kids, teens and adults, can choose from the following exciting courses: CHILDREN’S THEATER 1 (5-8 yrs. old) and CHILDREN’S THEATER 2 (9-11 yrs. old), creative dramatics for children using games, storytelling techniques, movement, music and masks as tools of expression; TEEN THEATER (12-16 yrs. old), an introduction to performance skills for young adults, the course integrates creative drama, music, writing, movement and visual arts to explore themes concerning the youth; BEGINNING ACTING (17 yrs. old & above), a practical application of the rudiments of acting including concentration, spontaneity, improvisation, confidence, body and voice preparation, characterization and script analysis to create a unique and authentic life on stage; MUSICAL THEATER FOR TEENS (12-16 yrs. old) and ACTING IN MUSICAL THEATER (17 yrs. old & above), singing, movement and acting classes are synthesized to prepare actors for performance in musical theater productions.

Family members and friends can also join the fun as they get to see mini-presentations, short skits and sketches prepared by the participants at the end of each week, and a showcase production at the end of the course. The workshop sessions and showcases will be held in venues at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, making Tanghalang Pilipino’s Summer Theater Adventure a unique experience for all!
