I know what i will always treasure

A true and loyal friend for sure;

A friend who'll smile and laugh with me

In moments of happiness and glee.

A friend who is ready to stand by me

Through hardship and adversity

A friend who'll be faithful to the end

And our friendship he will tend

And I in turn will strive to be

The same good friend he is to me 

there are many kinds of friends indeed,

But a true friend is what I need.
