A world not mine

This world, it seems,

Belongs to others

And not for me

I voice my tears

Lord, please answer

Turn not away from me

Thine moon beckons

To thee sun, you must

answer this plea

At dawn’s command

A ray of light arrives

Oh, so promptly

To claim my heart

and melt my fears

into deep empathy

for the dwellers

who remain, sadly, in

bondage and apathy

I bow my head in

Thankful praise for Love’s

Embrace has set me free.
