Boy Loves Mommy More

Boy Loves Mommy More

I love my mommy because I love her

And I don’t know the reason why

Just that I was born after nine months from her

And she lulls me to sleep when I cry

My eyes come from daddy, and my forehead too

But my heart is from mommy alone

Because when hers beats, my heart also leaps

Cause for months I made her tummy my home

My mommy takes care that I don’t learn how to swear

And she cried when I kissed my first girl

Now I don’t know if she’s jealous, but in my heart it is obvious

“She might hurt you,” and that gives her the scare.

I love my daddy and I love my mommy

But here I love mommy more

In another creation, I’ll make justification

And there I shall daddy adore.

my mom used to say when i

my mom used to say when i was very little, kaya lang daw ako dikit ng dikit sa tatay dahil di sya kuripot, lahat ng gusto ko ay binibigay nya. unlike her na very conscious with budgeting thing, kaya it kept her daw from spending too much on me. hahaha!

but i do dear them both. my mom has been very "maasikaso" and "maalaga" even until now. i can't be any luckier.

i really like this poem and thank you for making such a wonderful thought. hope you'll be inspired to make another poem for daddy (soon). sure thing, it'll be another moving piece. i look forward to it.

thanks ruthie! have a nice day! ^_^

I love my parents.  And I'm

I love my parents.  And I'm happy because they complement each other.  :)

Dad buys us what we want, mom buys us ONLY what we need. :)  Father rarely used corporal punishment, Mom believed it was the only way to straighten up a crooked child.  Father is very principled, and mom is very practical.

Yes, yes, I will write something for the daddies, too.  But it won't be anything like Sylvia Plath's Daddy, don't ya worry. :)

Ciao, daimustlive!

mama's boy says...

ruthie, i commend you for doing this piece for us, mama's boys out there. would you believe it took me 24 years of existence on earth before i came to realization that i, actually am a mama's boy?

until feb. this year, i wouldnt admit that i am one and then i got to live on my own and that's where sad reality took its toll on me. halos lahat yta ng gnagawa ko nkadepende pala sa mama ko. un, super hirap tlga plus the fact na sobrang nami-miss ko siya-as in!

syempre, love ko rin daddy ko, un nga lang- iba un ke mama tlga. LOLZ!

hey Bittersweet!

Thanks for reading my poem.

Btw, doesn't it make you a bit uneasy admitting you're a mama's boy?  I mean, with the negative connotation that goes with it and all?  :)

Ciao!

okay lang i think kahit ma-brand ako as one. cguro, if i were a lot younger, bk big deal pa yun sakin. well not that im old already.hahaha!pero, i think i, we really owe it to pay tribute to our folks, moms and dads alike, dont you think?

dts d reason why i like this poem very much.

Hi!

Yeah, I agree.   Love --- that thing which our parents have an abundant supply of.  :)
