uso-uso lang yan ilang taon mula ngayon yang mga nakikiuso na yan kapag napag isip-isip nila mga pinag gagawa nila matatawa at mahihiya na lang sila sa sarili nila. ang mga ganyang fad ang dala ng western culture sa atin napakahilig kasi nating makiuso sa kung anong latest sa US e. 

kapag may nagpakamatay dun na emo may gagaya dito, pag may nag stage dive sa isang concert dun malamang gagayahin din ng local bands dito. sana ang gayahin na lang natin yung medyo positive naman (kung meron).

malaki ang kinalaman ng media sa ganitong bagay. Pero yung backmasking medyo di ako naniniwala dun kasi kahit anong plaka kapag na backmask mo talagang meron kang madidinig na pwede mong sabihin na ganito at ganun ang kahulugan. isa pa si satanas man ang nagsasalita dun sabihin man niyang patayin mo si Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo kung ayaw mo namang sumunod olat parin sya.

mas makapangyarihan ang isip ng tao kaysa isip ni satanas pwede siyang mang impluwensya pero nasa sa atin na yun kung paiimpluwensya tayo. Tingin ko mas matindi ang subliminal message ng speech ni Gloria sa SONA niya kesa sa message ng backmasking. kasi sa salita ni Gloria naghihirap ang pinoy e sa backmasking di naman. Tuloy daming nagpapakamatay dahil sa kahirapan hindi dahil nakapakinig ng EMO.

Wait ... I do believe you're misinterpreting the Bible a little bit, no? Where in the bible did it specifically say that Lucifer lied? He was telling the truth and only meant to tempt his prey, Jesus Christ.  Is not what you wrote a misinterpretation?

To tease is to distract and provoke, did the devil really do that? Where in the bible?

To lie is to tell facts that are not true, did the devil really do that? Where in the bible?

God promises spiritual wealth and immortality while the devil promises mortal goods and what are mortal goods but earthen materials? Is not the kingdom of the world ephemeral? That's what the devil promised Jesus, and what did Jesus say? He said that god's powers must not be tested or something like that and refused to accept the devil's offer because he would rather obtain spiritual wealth that God, his father promised him. And where is that spiritual wealth? It's in us.

And emo ... as I understand it, are a group of kids spoilt enough to think they're deprived. That's all. True emo don't dress like them. They are verbos in their writings and are silent and patient students ... a new kind of geek -- only slightly cooler --- more like, a blend of the punk and nerdy! 

And jeez, some young emos are really attractive.  xD

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and /span>Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

the third is from JOHN 8:44

"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it"    

is it clear enough that SATAN is the father of lies?

Well, for one thing, she didn't die upon eating the fruit. He didn't lie to her, he was being honest! If anything, it's God who lied to Adam and Eve, no?

But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die

Because, Eve did live and, did the Bible ever mention when she and Adam passed away?

Also, Man and Woman did become 'as' gods for they came to know good and evil. He never said they will, nor did it use the word 'are'. Instead, 'as' is used. 

And the one from John 8:44, if I understand correctly, is biased as it is written by a prophet/disciple (I'm not really sure) unlike the Genesis, were most facts were told objectively by several scribes ... no?

Decieve? Yes the devil did decieve her all right but then isn't decieving the same as committing  a "white lie"? Everyone does it once in a while, so, does that make us evil too? Cunning, and scheming all the way?

Oh, just bear in mind that it was God who lied first!

And anyway, as you mentioned, it is only our own gullible self that will lead us astray.

 There are two kinds of death in this world. The material death and the spiritual death. Yes Adam and Eve didn’t die instantly as they eat the fruit of knowledge. However, as they disobey God’s law they die spiritually because they have sinned. And God did NOT lie to the couple when he said that they will die, as a matter of fact they died—spiritually.

If we think that God is a liar, we are the most miserable being in this world. why? Where else can we turn to in this world? the devil?  I’m not imposing anything to your faith have it as you want it—in fact I hate quoting verses from the bible for fear of being tagged as self righteous bigots. But..Sorry I can’t help it.

DECEIVE is entirely different from white lie. Deceive is synonymous to cheat while white lie borders from an unintentional falsehood mostly for self preservation. Here’s a little logic if you may:

An angry man wielding an axe looks for my father in front of our house. “Where is your father?” the angry man asks me. I know deep inside that my father is inside his room sleeping. If I tell that furious man that my father isn’t home am I deceiving him? Or am I telling him a white lie? See the difference between deceive and a white lie? And since i don’t want my father to get killed i will tell that man a white lie.

Here’s another “logic”: BIBLE says: Satan is the father of lies PMEL says God is a liar therefore Satan is the father of God – right or wrong?

About JOHN 4:88—yes, it is written by Apostle John. Forgive me on this but I would rather believe Apostle John rather than some sceptics or even Einstein for instance.

Just imagine kung manok ang ginamit ng Diyos para magsulat ng bible—e di lalo natin itong di naintindihan. Kaya nga tao ang kinasangkapan niya para mas maintindihan at mas malapit sa puso natin ang mga salita niya.

And, doesn’t it make you wonder if God deceived Adam and Eve into thinking that eating the fruit of knowledge will kill them cause he wants them to live forever in ignorance? How, within Eden’s wall would they know about the world if they are kept in it and he would not teach them anything? Unless of course, the Devil got there before he did, BUT, if God wanted to be truthful and he is really being truthful, he could have just said,

“Hey kids, don’t eat those fruits cause you’ll die … well, not really --- I’ll make sure you die eventually as punishment.”

Instead of,

But, if God included that he will banish them if they eat the fruit, Adam and Eve would probably think,

“What? Why can’t we have the right to know things? And at the expense of our dependence and ignorance? Hey, pop! Sure thing. Why not?”

And, Adam and Eve didn't die spiritually. They still have their souls with them. They were just banished from Eden (sorry, my mistake!), cause God didn't want them to be immortal too.

When Adam and Eve disobey God, the tie that bind between man and God was severed. Please note that God didn’t want that, that’s the couple’s own making as they have the free will to obey and disobey—and that makes us different from animals. After that, life outside the Garden of Eden became so unbearable (until today). God seeing this, he sent his son Jesus to redeem humanity from sins. How? He carries all the humanity’s sins to cross in exchange of imparting us his words through his disciples. You may call it ‘cliche’ but here it goes (in JOHN 3:16) whoever believes in him should not perish but have an everlasting life.

Now, Prior to Eve’s eating the fruit, life in the Garden of Eden is a breeze. They need not to toil in order to eat—everything is provided to them. Please note that the Garden of Eden is not a physical place but a state or condition where everything goes well, smooth and quiet, much like a Utopian paradise if you may call it that way. (Maybe this is the reason why man is always in quest for utopia) The devil in his envy, lured man into disobeying God tempting Eve to commit the sin and the rest was history.

The “right to know things” that you have mentioned is a form of punishment by God if they will disobey. If you will ask me, knowing the right from wrong isn’t a privilege, it’s a punishment. Because it means that the evil of the world will befall on you, you will come face to face with the ill of the society/world—as it is happening right at this very moment. While if only the couple obeyed God, maybe we are living comfortably in God’s grasp. Remember that God already provided man his needs years ahead before Adam surfaced the earth. Now, can we get back again in God’s lair? Of course—there is Jesus the reason why he sent his son to us. And the rest is yadayadayada...

From the way I see it, God was very much like my lola who used "pananakot" to keep me from venturing out the house at the hour past 6, at night.

"Huwag ka lalabas dahil may mumu, d'yan. Kakainin ka kapag na kita ka niya."

She kept telling me that over and over until I believed her. Later, when I got older, I learned that there wasn't a ghost there, that the only danger was drunken men strolling in the streets including child-nappers.

She lied too, or, was not being factual or honest, instilling a sense of fear in me that I may obey her every word.

Same with God and Eve!

And as I've mentioned before, the devil is nothing more than a symbol of knowledge that which Eve first grew aware of and from what I understand, women are more perceptive, intuitive than men, who acts more on their instinct.

It's in our DNA -- thus, (represented by) the snake.

The snake never lied, Rom. If you noticed, it's the men who followed every word of God's demands who called it a liar. Why? It’s because the snake is like a cross road. It gives you two possibilities: Of good and bad and with it, you have to make a choice. And when you make a choice, you don’t want to be responsible for the bad outcome (even bad decisions sometimes make good results).

That’s why Adam blamed Eve, who blamed the snake. He didn’t want to take responsibility.

Eve made her choice and she was led astray. The great men who called the snake a liar, unquestionably followed God's words even if it meant killing women and children of another nation and were never led astray and he favoured them. Doesn't that ring any bell to you?

(I'm not saying God is a mad scientist ... but he could have been. He did after all made the world. ^^;)

In any case, Eve is intuitive, Adam is obedient, and God was just new at parenting. Aha ha ha ha ha! Of course, this is my opinion and mine alone. I've read enough books to drive me insane. Now it's time to have my own opinion and what I've just shared with you, Rom, is what I have come to understand.

So far, it makes a lot of sense to me. :)

i am no bible scholar- yet  His words are presented to me so sweet and simple.

i believe that we cannot fathom HIs wisdom, despite our attempt to humanize it.  only through experiencing HIs love and submit ourselves to His will that we may be able  to  come to understand HIm.

and afterwards, He'll give the grace to share His message with us---through humility, faith and openness of the heart.

goth, trasher, skater, punk, emo, indie- i dont know who i am there. sometimes i feel like being a goth,  sometimes emo, sometimes punk.

i'm trying to look like a decent human being but i think it's in my blood.

i never really changed, i just minimized it, i guess. 

Isama mo naman ako sa mga karakter nyo!!hehehe!!Well yung linkin park kasi alternative yun, ang simple plan-pop rock naman! PAg tipong masyadong powerful ang drums at guitar at halos sumisigaw ang vocalist alternative ang tawag dun.

Yung EMO music ang nakakaalarma kesa sa pagiging EMO, trend kasi sa atin ngayon yun eh kaya okay lang. Nag-EMO look din kasi ako, yun nga lang nagmukha akong adik!heheheh!!

Yung melody ng EMO music karamihan medyo malulungkot tapos ang lyrics ganun din. Kundi suicidal eh war freak naman. At hindi lahat ng nag e-EMO ang get-up eh EMO na, yun lang mahilig sa ganito at medyo mahilig mag-isa.

Pero tyak di ka magiging ganun, kesa mukha ka namang masasayahin.

balik sa EMO... nung first time akong makarinig ng trip nilang kanta(hindi ako makapagbigay ng sample dahil hindi talaga ako interesado sa trip nilang kanta), akala ko nadedemonyo na ang mga EMO na nainterview ko noon. Sa sobra kasing kabig ng songs parang mahihipnotays ka nga sa nais iparating...

sa palagay ko, maraming dahilan talaga yan... sabi kasi ng mga EMO friends ko, gusto lang daw nilang ipakilala ang sarili nila...ang iba lantad na nagsabi na galit sila sa mundo kaya gumawa sila ng sariling mundo. iyong iba, sa ganoon lang daw nila nakilala sarili nila... kung paano sila nagkaganon, mahabang usapan pa.

hindi ako magiging EMO dahil wala akong kaplano-plano kahit minsan ko na naisip na uminom ng lubid, magbikti ng kutsilyo at magsaksak ng asido... hahaha... Masayahin nga ba ako? front lang iyon. defense mechanism. dahil kung sineryoso ko ang mundo, tsugi na ako ngayon...

Yup, Parents should guide their teenage son or daughter. They are responsible for molding and raising their children. Some of these so called "EMO" teens are neglected by their parents or family, that's why right attention should be given to them.

Music is just a triggering factor, but love and guidance from parents can correct their behavior.

nakakalungkot na dahil sikat ngayon ang EMO "fad" sinusundan ito ng maraming bata. dahil dun sila nakakaramdam na mayroon silang karamay.

very pessimistic ang outlook nila sa buhay which sana hindi dahil sila ang natitirang dugo at lakas natin sa mabuting bukas.

sana ang enerhiya  nila ay gamitin nila sa pagtulong sa kapwa at hindi sa paninisi sa kaguluhan ng mundo.

hmm-walang masama sa pagsisi ngunit sana kasabay nito'y solusyon at hangarin ang paglutas ng problema.....
