Buti di pa uso melamine ng pilit kaming pakainin ng nutribun sa skul. Langhya, panakot pa ng titser namin dati - WALANG UUWI HANGGAT DI UBOS ANG NUTRIBAN!!! Ikaw na gahaman, asan ang palaman?
Naubos ko naman pero awa ng Dyos, di pa din ako tumaba hanggang ngayon. Pero ang malupit eh yung BULGOR. Taenang yun, akala ko dati pulboron, kaya pag lapag sa mesa ko, buhos kagad sa lalamunan sa gutom. Ihahalo pa pala sa tubig ang bwiset. Eto pa, ngayon ko lang nalaman, GMO daw pala yung putakteng yun as in Genetically Modified Organism, at tinapon dito sa Pinas para subukan kung nakamamatay.
Pano natin malalaman na intsik ang gatas at may melamine? At kung intsik man ang nakasulat sa labas ng pakete pano mo malalaman na melamine nga yung nakasulat at di formaline? Anong pinagkaiba? Basta lahat nalang bawal ganun? Lahat ng galing China bawal na? Yung White Rabbit, natiklo na, sarap pa naman ng balat nun. Eh yung Tiger Balm, White flower, Katinko? Sigurado kaya tayong hindi echas ng kung anu-ano lang yung pinanghahagod mo sa ilong mo?
Silent attack daw ng China ito sa US dati, sinimulan sa mga laruan, make-up at iba pa. Sabi naman ng China, eh wag nyong pagawa samin. Oo nga naman. Tanong may choice ba sila? Basta ko, sa gatas ng nanay ako lumaki, kasama ng yakult at magnolia na nilalako sa bote chocolate and melon flavor. Pero mas gusto ko yung kay pelikulang Gatas. Mmmmmmm.

"made in china", so they don't show from which country it is made.
However, you may now refer to the barcode, remember if the first 3 digits
is:
690-692 then it is made in China.

PS; Nutribun and Bulgor were exclusively handed out to public school students nationwide, probably during the late 80s to early 90s. Nutribun yung mala tinapay, yung Bulgor parang Nesvita ngayon.

Eh ganun talaga, sa sobrang mura ng production sa china tuloy mga sub-standard na mga raw materials ang ginagamit dun. Ika nga lahat ng mura ay may kabayaran!! Hehehehe.
Hindi naman masama ang melamine sa katawan, kaso may allowable percentage o quantity ng melamine ang pwedeng iabsorb ng katawan natin. Yun nga lang kawawa ang mga bata.
Minsan naiisip ko, eh bakit kasi ayaw magpasuso ng ilang mga nanay sa kanilang mga anak (sabi nila nakakasira raw ng figure). Aba nakakatipid na sila, at nakakasiguro sila na melamine free yun at ayon din sa studies na nagiging malapit ang mga anak sa kanyang nanay habang itoy ay nagpapasuso, at di hamak na mas masustansya ito sa lahat ng gatas.
Kaya minsan din ang unang salitang lumalabas sa mga baby, eh imbes "MAMA" e "MOOO MOOO" na kasi nga gatas ng baka ang pinapainom sa kanila. Ang gatas ng baka ay para sa mga batang baka, ang gatas ng tao ay para sa bata din (minsan sa tatay din, hehhehehe)
Ako hindi ako nabigyan ng ibang gatas noon maliban sa gatas ng nanay ko saka sa kapeng bigas. YUng Nutriban naabutan ko yan, may pauwi pa ngang KLIM nun, na pinapapak at tilalandakan ko sa hapon.

Pinabasa ko to sa ate ko at sobrang naentertain talaga siya. Sabi niya, natural ang iyong pagpapatawa, swabe kumbaga... kahit hindi nakakatawa ang paksa dahil buhay nga naman ang nakataya pag nakalaklak tayo ng gatas na may melamine...
Buti na lang malakas talaga ang sikmura ng mga Pilipino. Akalain mo, kahit pinakain tayo ng maraming bulgor, at kahit GMOs yung mga yun, andito pa rin tayo. May binigay pa sa amin nun eh, yung corn meal ba yun? Hahaha! Pag niluto yun at ginawang lugaw, hmm, appetizing, kulay pa lang :)

Filipinos do have strong immunity systems (Um ... I don't strangely enough), but, their life span is shorter with the oldest dying at 60 or 80. This is true expecially within the main cities but those living in remote areas where nature is abundant and clean, like Sagada for example, people live longer than 90 years.
My great great grandpa lived until 105! They say it's because of an Anting-anting he had and now lost but I doubt it. :/

You have to find out who is the legatee. :) It must have been passed to someone in your family who just keeps mum about it.
I think the anting-anting is really in (1) clean and healthful living, with a (2) sunny disposition everyday, and a (3) happy-go-lucky attitude... Hmm, looks promising for a person like me, as far as 1 and 3 is concerned. Number 2, hmm, not frequently...
But what is clean and healthful living when we are in a world where this adage rings truer than ever: "Trust no one." I should start my own organic garden and eat cabbages with worms.
I for one agree with Rom, nobody would want to live forever in place like this. I'm one who is waiting for the day, when I'd see my beloved Granny at last...

In the meantime while the world is killing us softly, i think it would be best indeed to go back to basics. I've been wanting to be a vegetarian, but my cravings for bulalo and barbeques is just too strong to resist.

Anyway, don't raid the vegetable section just yet. Ask your doctor, hmm? Kasi yung mga friends ko na naging vegetarian (they're guys) biglang namayat (at sa tingin ko, goal yun ng mga babae, hindi ng mga lalake). :( As to death coming at all of us, well, sabi nga ng mga pilosopo, kailan pa raw darating kung hindi hahanap-hanapin. :) Okay lang yung bulalo at barbecue, pero pakiramdaman mo na lang yung batok mo, tsk.
P.S. Buti naman at bumigay yung tali. hehehe. Kasi naman marami ka pang unfinished business. Marami ka pang isusulat na akdang nakakatuwa, noh!
