forArtists is a showcase of original, raw and innovative works of playwrights and scriptwriters. The festival will be a collaboration of theatre artists and aims to provide them with the opportunity to develop and exhibit their material on the REP stage.

The Speculative Literature Foundation Travel Research Grant

SLF travel grants are awarded to assist writers (speculative fiction, poetry, drama, creative nonfiction) in their research. They are not currently available for academic research, though we hope to offer such funds in the future. We are currently offering one $600 travel grant annually, to be used to cover airfare, lodging, and/or other travel expenses.
Our travel grants will be awarded by a committee of SLF staff members on the basis of interest and merit. Factors considered will include:
Fray Luis de Leon Creative Writing Grants 2006

To support the flowering of writings in Aklanon, Kinaray-a, Hiligaynon and Filipino, the Fray Luis de Leon Creative Writing Institute (FLCWI) of the University of San Agustin is announcing the availability of the two Fray Luis de Leon Creative Writing Grants 2006. The grants are competitive and are open to all writers in Western Visayas.
Charles Pick Fellowship

GrantThe Charles Pick Fellowship is dedicated to the memory of the distinguished publisher and literary agent, Charles Pick, whose career began in 1933 and continued until shortly before his death in January 2000. He encouraged young writers at the start of their careers with introductions to other writers and practical and financial help. The new Fellowship seeks to continue this spirit of encouragement by giving support to the work of a new and, as yet, unpublished writer of fictional or non-fictional prose.

2005 NCCA Writers’ Prize

The NCCA Writers’ Prize is a biennial grant awarded to five (5) writers, one for each of the following categories: novel, essay, short story (including children’s stories), poetry, and translation. The grant, in the amount of TWO HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND PESOS gross, will assist the grantee during the writing stage of the project. The grant is good for one year, after which a manuscript of the writing project will be submitted to the NCCA for possible publication. All categories are open to English and all Philippine languages.
