Indeed, time goes by really quick. It’s exactly been a year now since I sent out the first invites to FilipinoWriter.com, and now, 909 members, 1486 posts, 276,279 page views (according to AwStats), and almost 40,000 (70,603 according to AwStats) visitors later, the site is seeing steady, if not exponential, growth. We still have a lot we can do with respect to parlaying the site’s growth to improvements in the lives of writers and Philippine literary culture, in general, but the year that has been simply proves that there is a need for this kind of online community, and rest assured that FilipinoWriter.com will continue to address that need in the years to come, and will strive to do things better.

So here’s to you, FilipinoWriter.com, on your first birthday!
