I'm Afraid of Space
I’m Afraid of Space
Im afraid of
space, and its bossy
ways, how it grabs unwilling
subjects for its
canvas. I must run with
haste, before it traps
my gaze, for it
imprisons the restrained
through its
mantras.
It has devises,
contraptions, that
releases inhibitions ---
I was victimized by its
beauty not just
once! And then,
suddenly,
freely,
I was feeding its
fancy --- with a verse
that I rehearse
only in hiding.
‘Tween the whiteness of
X and Y, it desires to
exemplify ... with the
brushstrokes of honesty and
abandon. I will fail to be
impervious, if it is
inconspicuous --- for it
blends like a cunning
chameleon.
To paint me through my own
blood, while my heart is in
denial, I will succumb to
fill the void
unconsciously. Through
a verse,
a song,
a poem, it has
tricked me to confession,
and made each tiny,
lonely space
filled finally.
I’m afraid of space,
and its brooding ways, and its
custom to draw
fools to come fill it...
I’m afraid of space, and
its charming face --- and
The way
I’m always sucked to
be in it.
nothing is also something...
Hi Miss Stone!
Thank you... I love this piece as well. It's one of the poems that I am proud of. Thank you for reading.
Really, I'm afraid of space.
During the nothing stage, there's a desire to be something, to become. I don't know how others do it, but for me, there's a manifestation process --- the actual depiction of thoughts and ideas and other forms... Unless they are put on paper, canvas, or other material --- they remain tendencies, mere tendencies which are potent nonetheless (reminds of the black box). Actually, until I put them down and fill the screen with them, they will continue to bother the back of my head. :)
Yehey, sulat lang ng sulat at i-conquer natin ang space na yan, hehehe.

Wow!
Wow!
and
Wow!
I love this.
Everything starts with nothing.
What do you think is happening during that nothing?
What are the things that run inside your mind when you have nothing to fill the vacant space of your paper?
Is your mind forming some shapes and lines, words and pictures, verses and song so you can have something on your paper?
I love spaces and blanks because after the absence, presence appears.
(Sa sobrang pagkagusto ko nga lagi na lang bakante ang pitak ko, nyaha!)
According to Sidney Sheldon, A blank piece of paper is God’s way of telling us how hard it is to be God.
Thank you!
