Important Things to Bring During Job Interviews

Important Things to Bring During Job Interviews

1.Resume. This is the one thing that you should not forget when attending an interview. This is the document where the HR or hiring manager will use to evaluate and ask questions regarding your personality, job experience, accomplishment and the likes during the job interview.

2.Transcript of Records (TOR). Aside form your resume, it is also a good habit to always bring with your Transcript of Records with you because some company wants to verify if you meet the minimum requirements for their job (specialy if it requires a bachelors degree). This is also the basic documents where the HR and hiring manager will base their evaluation regarding your application.

3.Identification Card (ID). Most companies are located in private buildings and usually building administrators will ask visitors to fill up their logbook and provide an identification card for you to enter their premises. It is important that you bring aleast 2 ID's because you will never be able to attend the interview if you are not allowed to enter due to lack of identification, right?

4.Ballpen. Bringing a ballpen during job interview is also important because before being interviewed, employers usually ask applicants personal data forms for their record. Having no ballpen to fill up the form is a big minus to you as a possible employee.

5.ID pictures. When filling up personal data forms, usually is requires ID pictures. Make it a good habit to bring along with you some extra 2x2 or 1x1 pictures for the form. It will add to your points as a potential employee.

6.Gov't Issued Documents. SSS/ Philhealth. Personal data forms usually includes area to put on you SSS, PhilHealth numbers and other government related information. Have them ready when filling up forms.

7.Cellular Phone. It is good to have a cellular phone while doing interviews, because there may be applicants that you encounter and can give you information regarding other openings. And also incase you forgot the name of the contact person it will come in handy because you can call the contact person and tell them you are already in their office. Just put them on silent mode during interview proper.

8.Plastic Folder/Envelope. Folders and Plastic envelopes will make your Resume and other documents neat and organize. It also a good practice if your Resume and other important documents are not folded. Having a clean and neat documents will tell employers that you value them as an employer because you have made it a point that you submitted good documents to them.

9.Map. Map is also important specially if you are not familiar with the place you a going. It will save you time having a map on hand because you will know which route you will pass. I also suggest you research the place before going to an interview, try google maps or google earth to show the location.

10. Other. There are still a lot of important things which are not including here. It will depend on the person that will attend the interview. it could be snacks or personal stuffs that could boost up your confidence during the interview.

These things are just based on what I have observed and what I have been doing when attending job interviews and applying for a job. I hope it helps.

-extra money. you never know

-extra money. you never know how long your interview may take. there are companies who have this one-day-process and you need to wait for several hours for the result. extra money is for food expenses or for extra fare.

-grooming kit. first impression lasts so dont forget the kikay kit.

ano pa ba....?

self confidence...  mahina ako jan. hahaha

Practice

when i interview i make sure to do the following

1. study the company profile, at least their webpage. knowing that you took the time to learn about the company always makes for a good impression.

2. don't bring a map. instead, find out where the location is prior to the interview. you'll look more prepared that way, plus, less dugyot.

3. reading material. sana hindi magazine, or tabloid. bring something handy, like a pocketbook.

4. a filecase/bag. nothing's worse than a resume with creases. if you have a leather satchel or briefcase then that would be best. avoid backpacks or body bags because they may wrinkle your outfit or worse, cause sweatstains...

5. make sure your pen is black. and it should be a good pen. don't bring a pen na giveaway ng ibang company.

6. 2 and 6 above are not immediate needs and will only make your stuff look crazy. you reserve those documents for the contract signing or the job offer.

7. bring a positive attitude. especially if the position you're applying for is in demand, there's a good chance that the interviewer has talked to a lot of other people and is probably pissed. so it's nice to look happy.

8. bring a hanky and cologne-not perfume. make sure you go to the banyo before going to the lobby, para first entrance mo pa lang, fresh na agad.

9. be friendly to the guard or the receptionist.

Kung ano man yung narinig mo, hindi "I love you" yun! Assumera!
