It’s easy to be faithful…
…when you’re ugly …
When you look like garbage that deserves to be thrown away…
When you were dumped because new things have come along that serve your purpose better…
When you have outlived your worth and can no longer meet the demands of your owner…
You become worthless…
And no one else would want to take anything that’s worthless…
It’s easy to be faithful…
…when you’re ugly…
If your face resembles a chewed up piece of gum…
Deprived of sweetness as you have given all you had to that one person who took you in…
You felt forever in that mouth…
You felt your sense of purpose – the meaning to your life…
Only to be spit out in the end…
Without second thought nor the kindness to wrap you up again…
You will stay on the street…
Dirtied up and stepped on…
You try to cling to the first creature you come in contact with…
Only to be shaken off…
Or scraped against the ground…
It’s easy to be faithful…
…when you’re ugly…
You’re nothing but a piece of shit…
You look like shit…
You feel like shit…
That’s probably all you are…
Shit.
Avoided…
Disgusting…
You don’t even deserve a first look,
Much less a second glance…
You spend your existence dreaming…
Of becoming one of the beautiful people on this Earth…
But you just bake in the sun and dry up…
Looking uglier and more disgusting – if that was even possible…
And in the end, you crumble…
Taken away by the wind as tiny particles of dirt…
Mixing with the ground…
And yet…
Every single particle of you
Is still…
SHIT.
It’s easy to be faithful…
…when you’re nothing but shit.
