Tonight will be the "Bathala Na! The Kidlat Tahimik After Party" event and will also be the soft launch of Khavn's khavndelacruz.com @ Mag:net Katipunan, I hope that you will be able to drop by.
I would like to share with you one of Khavn's short films that had really left a wonderfully wasak impression on me.
This will not just show how Khavn was able to use film as a medium in storytelling, but will also show you some aspects of how he writes his wasak form of lit.

ang galing nito pare. tunay na wasakista itong si Khavn nakaka inspire ang ganitong gawa. nakakagigil parang gusto ko tuloy gumawa ng tuloy-tuloy ng mga kwento, ang daming nagsasalimbayan sa utak ko na instigate ng film niya. parang nakita ko dito yung huling ginawa kong short story--yung nagpakamatay tumalon sa billboard.

Ang galing ng concept ng taong umupo sa gitna ng trapik for a really mysterious reason, tapos pati yung nangyari sa kanya in the end mysterious din.
Gawan mo ng film yung taong tumalon sa Billboard, magandang concept yung live film yung nasa billboard siya tapos yung pagtalon magiging claymation o animation.

puro trailer lang nakikita ko sa youtube (o tanga lang talaga ako maghanap). buti na lang yung paalam aking bulalakaw may nakita ako tapos buo pa.
ganda tol. naeelib ako kasi first time naging mysterious para sa akin yung main character. mostly kasi sila yung pinaka drawn sayo or sila yung pinakakilala mo since sa kanila umiikot yung istorya. astig, napaka creative nung approach. tae, kelan kaya magiging ganyan yung utak ko.
nga pala, may isa pa kong hinahanap na indie film, yung endo. kaso hanggang trailer lang na naman ako.
...si chuck palahniuk idol ng kuya ko yun kasi idol ng paborito nyang banda. alam ko lang title nung mga libro nya, putek ang mamahal kasi. dapat magreregalo ako sa kuya ko kaso nakita ko 600+. katrumbas din yun ng kalahating taong suplay ng load ko.

Movie icon Bembol Roco walks the mean streets of
Manila as “Kontra Madiaga,” a character invented by
combining the actor’s two most celebrated
performances: innocent country bumpkin Julio Madiaga
from 1975’s Manila in the Claws of Light and
death-squad leader Commander Kontra of 1989’s Fight
for Us. Haunted by memories of loss assembled from
snippets from these and other Lino Brocka films,
Kontra’s soul is long dead from butchering resistance
fighters, but the Madiaga part of him continues to
search Orpheus-like for the girl for whom he came to
the capital. Shot from the hip in a single day and
shot through with video-quotes from film history, this
is conceptual minimalism povera at its most
politically edgy.

A sturdy man with a dark expression follows a delicate
beauty, clad in innocent white clothes, through the

ayos yan si Bembol Roco, kaso bigla na lang akong nadismaya sa kanya ng gumanap siya bilang isa diumanong KADRE ng Partido sa isang film na ginawa ng estado laban sa mga manggagawa ng hacienda luisita. kakakbwiset talaga.
sa film kasi na iyon, ipinakita diumano ang koneksyon ng mga unyon ng manggagawa sa lihim na kilusan.
yung line na. ang mga organisasyong iyan ay front ng mga komunista.
nauunawaan ko ang kalagayan na kailangang kumita ni Bembol pero ang gumawa ng pelikula upang balahurain ang mga manggagawa ng hacienda luisita at ang lahat ng militanteng unyon, hindi ito nakakatuwa.
nagpagamit siya sa estado. tsk.tsk.tsk.
ngapala. nakalimutan ko yung pamagat eh. napanood ko lang yun ng minsang dumaan ako sa isang UG house ng mga kasama sa ARMAS, 2007 pa yun.
