Living by a certain Code

There's the Samurai Code, the Illuminatis, Knights of the Round Table, Lapu-lapu, and Bonifacio with his KKK (Kataas-taasang, Kagalang-galangang Katipunan ng̃ mg̃á Anak ng̃ Bayan), which, ironically, corresponds to the abbreviation of the White Racist Groups' name, the Ku Klux Klan; the KKK.

The Filipino KKK should just add the A (anak) and B (Bayan) in the end to differentiate it from the American KKK.

We all live by a certain code and it is by this code that helps us to survive. Some use the Bible as a code, others develop their own codes based on their own proffession. Some people don't even have a code and just live on spontaneity, which sometimes allows for chaos and destruction to control them rather than them being in control of their lives.

I've always been looking for a code worth following and as far as I know, the most reliable, the most affective codes are often kept a secret and that most of these codes don't follow the norm.

So then I thought to myself, why not make my own code and keep that to myself? If I go out and "preach" my code to the world, it's a sure ticket to hell.

Best examples are Jesus, Gandhi, and John Lennon.

Let the people follow what they want to follow. As far I'm concerned, I will not attach myself to a partnership that will expose my secret and kill me, eventually. I would rather stand alone. If by following and keeping my code a secret helps those within my range of protection, I don't care what happens to the others.

Protect what you can protect. Mind what you can mind. Ignore what you cannot help. I've known this for a long time, but I was too naive. I still try to help people out the best that I can, and yes, that is being naive. Not many people will appreciate what you're trying to do for them. There are still many out there who would rather stay in the dark, believing that some things need not be learned; some doors are better left unopened, which is probably true, but, if by opening doors will save someone, a little bit of sacrifice on my part shouldn't matter.

To open a door, is to take responsibility and to take responsibility is to make a sacrifice, not of others, but of your own. Lots of people fail to see that and that makes me really, really sad.  And, "It makes baby Jesus cry."

I still am naive and I probably would still be naive in five years time.

codes..

thieves have them.
politicians don't.
liars loathe it,
but the righteous won't.

i could be wrong.

codes are unspoken and most of the time understood by people of the same stature in society, or divinity. be it through the same experience or objective. it's about mutual respect.

even the spontaneous me have it.

i keep it simple.

and just like pmel, i will not devulge it. not out of fear of losing something more precious than my life; but because, nowadays, it is not enough to preach by words.

it is far better to live by example.

i don't really know which is tougher: to open a closed door, or to walk through one that has been openned for you.

walking in faith is better than running blind.

nice read. sa uulitin po.

TC & God bless!

"Better to follow your own principles than preach it""

Hey, dude! Yeah. It's better to walk in faith, if not in the belief in God; running around like a blind mouse following a stranger's tail is, er ... well, a mistake.
