In this corner of the world
At this time of the year,
Warm watercolours fill my thoughts
As summer dusks wait around the bend
When the sun,
while easing in her bed over the horizon,
pulls down her fantastic shade
of orange-golds, corals and pinks,
and as she sinks further into slumber,
washes the expanse with purples and midnight blues
and the sky winks its countless tiny eyes
at all witnesses mesmerized by the grandeur,
each day never exactly the same as before
but always a promising spectacle.
