I am you

In the saddest

Of sad days

When you are

Loveless, amidst

Lovers

Holding hands and

Laughing like

There's no tomorrow

In the darkness

That only bestowed on you

While the sun is unhindered

By clouds

And your eyes, teary

Though you looked not

Unto the sky

When you are

The reflection

Of yourself

On the water, clear

Then all of a sudden

Rippled by

Tears from your eyes

When home is far,

Exhaustingly far away

And your feet

Are weary

And your faltering heart

Can't take you back

And you are me

Pretendingly merry

In the saddest

Of sad days.
