My Answer to Noel Ablon
In one of my existing blog, here in Filipinowriter.com Noel Ablon asked me a question:
Submitted by noelablon on June 6, 2009 - 11:36pm.Just asking... Do you really believe in Jesus? or just partial of what he said? Coz if you believe in the bible, you should believe in ALL that is written in it.
I don't see the point in believing in what is only acceptable to you or believing in some parts only. If you think the Bible is a lie, then would quoting verses from it justify your belief? Would that mean that your belief is also a lie?
Some people don't believe in the Bible, so when they say they don't believe in Jesus Christ then I can understand why they don't believe in him. You, I am quite confused, you use verses from the bible yet you question its integrity.
Like I said, I am just asking.. I am not here to challenge or to mock you.
Well, in that blog, I used the Bible to "preach" and disclosed that not even Jesus can break the rule of the Universe, which dictates that "To save, make, or create someone or something, something or someone has to give, die or go."
You can't have peace without war, love without pain, life without death, and so on and so forth. And having used the bible, Noel asks if I believe in everything that the bible says or just parts of it.
Noel, let me tell you this:
It's not about believing in something. It's about making sense of things. If it makes sense to me, I will believe it, otherwise, why should I? I don't need proof. As long as it makes sense.
I don't need the Bible to prove to me that science and logic is what makes the world go round by showing that Christ, the son of God, cannot break the rule of the universe, the rule of alchemy/chemistry-- the rule of God. It's "common" sense, which most people either forget about or deny that they ever thought of it.
You know what I think? If Gregor Mendel, a monk and a priest, can play around with genes of plants and apply it our genetic make-up, then our Church fathers should know that Science is God. But people who don't know enough and are afraid of things they don't understand, finds it easier to believe in mysticism, magic, and spirituality so, the Church fathers must have used that and hid all the science within that code. You understand?
I mean, think about it: When Darwin went out in the world to discover science and evolution, do you know how he described a volcanic island?
He described it as, "They were like triangular chimneys, with huge smokes coming out of them."
Why did he do that? It's because he has never seen volcanoes like that. The Church fathers must have understood that the only way for the people to understand the world is to use an existing story, a familiar scene, one that they can relate to and insert scientific know hows into it so they will not be confused.
And another thing is, the Church saying, "Do not make love to your mother or sisters." Common sense. I mean, C`mon! The Church understands that pure bloods can damage our gene pool. If not the exterior, the interior. There are some pure blooded people who looks normal on the outside, but are just absolutely, mentally insane. And that is bad.
"The individual is smart, the crowd is dumb."
Perhaps in the beginning, it started out that way, having all these alchemy and scientific and even astronomical undertones(?), and after years and years of literally being accepted as a "fact", the stories within the Bible loses its true meaning.
I think much of it has to do with the Middle Ages. Who knows?
If you don't understand that's all right by me. You can always do yourself a favor and look through our history. Not just Filipino History, but World History. It's up to you. There's the red and the blue pill. I won't force you to drink the one you'd rather not take.
I was...
I was just actually reacting in your words written here...
Pmel wrote to ilyana;
Yeah, people are judgmental because they are humans and that they are not God, but, dear ilyana、we are capable of becoming the God that we adore. Seriously, we are! Jesus says so, himself!
That is why I reacted in your response to ilyana and not in your article.
And yes, another factor of course is that you have used some verses in the bible in some of your articles - some.
I read your article once it was posted here. I did not react because I know you - in some way. I know that you based your articles or observations in what you believe, in what you see that is why I did not react, there is no debate at all.
You have chosen to believe in what makes sense and I have chosen to believe in God and I base my belief in the Bible, so it is like having two different kinds of books. What ever I say makes sense only to people who believe in the Bible and what ever you say makes sense in people who don't or are ignorant of God's word. I am not ignorant of the word of God but I am not also an elite - I just stand on what I believe and that doesn't make us dumb. Or yes, it does makes sense, we could be dumb in your eyes and you could be in our eyes - makes sense coz we based our belief in our own books.
I just hope you don't over-react on some things by posting like this. Does it make you feel superior or highly-intellectual person? I said I am not challenging you nor mocking you and this is how you reacted. Does my comment bruise your pride?
The road to perfection is to take comments and learn of it, not to challenge it. If you can't take comments from others then perfection is a far goal for you my friend. In some articles here, I was ignorant of it and I accepted being corrected but to challenge it is like denying growth.
I am not even posting stupid or non-sense things in respect of you (I guess my comments are really dumb and stupid and no-sense that is why you have reacted this way).
I am not angry, I actually have learned something about you - thank you.
"Anger"
When people say, "I'm not angry, I'm just saying," it often means that they are. You are reacting and you find what I say insulting and that is really up to you if you feel that way, cause really, you don't have to.
You don't have to feel negative about this post and be insulted cause you can always think to yourself, "I'm not like that" and save yourself from harm.
I know that people, when they react, they do so not only because they are insulted but because they enjoy circular debate or useless debates even though they say that they don't.
And by you reacting like this, I am sure that in the future, someone else will come in here and "try to debate" with me, which is an inevitable domino effect.
I flick your chip, you fall and someone else behind you will fall as well until someone else choses to be picked up from this line of tragedy and cease the fall. You gets?
Whoops! I spoke too soon. Iliyana dropped in. Hello!
Iliyana. So, you believe that Ignorance is Bliss? Sorry. I would rather die poor and knowledgable like Ghandi, than rich and stupid like Paris Hilton.
oopps na mention ang name ko!
Sorry if I have to intrude again:

I think the problem of our society is when everyone trying to play God, and think they are superior to everyone...
If someone wants to play god, i think, they have to know and learn everything about their real God that they adore...
Some things we don't need to know.
In the very beginning, Satan tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden, saying, "If you eat the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, you will be like gods!"
To this day, that is still one of Satan's most frequent and effective temptations. Science is sitting at the foot of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, plucking fruit. The trouble is, some of that fruit is good and some is bad, some is beneficial and some is diabolically harmful.
Just as the technological advances of the past few decades have brought us closer to the brink of self-destruction with "bigger and better" bombs, missiles, and other weapons of war, advances in the fields of genetic engineering and cloning are a two-edged sword: One edge promises better quality of life, but the other edge creates problems that neither science nor society is prepared to deal with.
Life and the Life-giver:
"God created man in His own image" In essence, proponents of cloning want to usurp God's role and become creators and gods themselves, making offspring in their own images. We were created to love and respect our Creator, not to attempt to be GOD ourselves.
Those who would clone other humans are meddling in God's business, but without His power and love. To think that they can improve on His design or plan is the ultimate in arrogance and audacity.

"Attempt to be God"
When I say, "We can be God-like," it doesn't necessarily point to me wanting to have his power, but being open minded unlike some people. Ya know?
Try as I might, I can't be a scientist. Am not that smart!
I am not insulting you, I am
I am not insulting you, I am just making a comment....
You...as an openminded person, should know that very well...
Sorry, I should have just shut my mouth...

PS. Sorry I have to edit what I wrote, someone was distracting me.
