I was wearing that high glass shoes
Standing there and waiting at the staircase
Flowers smelled good
Music played well
Laughters rang my ears
Everybody was excited I felt butterflies flying in my stomach
I turned and saw you
Handsome in stand
Confident and powerful
You were with your best buddy
You were both smiling and invitingAsked me to go and dance
Felt like a breeze in the center
Suddenly, I felt dizzy
Wanted to stay there
Hugged by your armsBut your friend knows you deep
Secret went out like slip of the tongue
Hurt over flowersFelt like about to vomit with pain
But smiled to keep everything cool
Chill just like youI wonder if you felt
How that stab dug into me
You did not hear though it sounded like thunder
You did not see though it seemed damn obvious
You were not able to taste the bitter-sweet, hot-cold feeling I feltI felt a stranger
I felt distance
From youI am no part of your life
For yours has gone so far, so high
Can't seem to squeeze in even if I'm thin
Can't seem to belong even if you said I'm inNow is more of my present

I'm a Pscyhology graduate and is currently working as a Recruitment Associate in Teleperformance Philippines (a call center). I had other jobs before and I consider those my eye-openers to the real world. I find writing a good way to express my feelings. I have put my poems under the Unspoken Theme because these are all my unexpressed thoughts, kept in my inner self. Recently, someone was able to read one of these poems and he suggested to post them here. I thought my poems were not that good compared to others. I even called myself acting-poet especially when I'm sad. I used to think I can only write something when I'm not at a good state. the challenge now is to be able to write anytime, anyday. I must say I am amazed by the writings of other people here in filipinowriter.com. I hope, that you guys could also find something in mine. :)
