OUR LOVE FOR GLOVE DOVES: WHY WE RHYME THE WAY WE DO

A lecture by Paolo Manalo

Using cognitive poetics I examine sonnets in English written by Filipinos from 1910-57 to see how arguments & errors are formed by rhymes. I also arrive at the consequences of Jose Garcia Villa's departure from rhyme & metre by looking at some of his comma poems & reversed consonance.
