Lumipas ang ilang Linggo, nanood sila ng isang play sa sikat na Theatre sa may Maynila at nagkaroon ng pagkakataong si Jake na ipahayag ang kanyang nararamdaman kay Jenn. Sinubukan niyang sabihin ang matagal na nakatago sa kanyang puso.

"Jenn, mayroon sana akong sasabihin sa'yo"

"Mukhang seryoso ka yata, ano ba yon?".

"Kung sakaling manliligaw ako sa'yo may pag-asa ba ako?", hindi nagsalita si Jenn at iniba nalang ang usapan ngunit sa loob-loob niya ay matagal na rin siyang may pagtingin kay Jake.

sa buong panahong humawak ako ng bolpen at tumalak sa mga pahina ng hindi maubos ubos na linya ng papel, isang panahon man, hindi ako nakaranas ng mental block.

siguro may mga panahon, tumitigil ako, bumibitaw ako, hinahampas ko ng paulit-ulit ang HBW bolpen ko, pero hindi dahil mental blocked ako,

dahil hindi nga ako naniniwala don.

at kapag hindi ka sakop ng mga likhang paniniwala, maliligtas ka (sa sarili mong paniniwala). hindi ka nasasaktan.

meron akong theory para sa mga nagsasabing na mental block sila,

una, dahil kulang ng idea.

Details:

The 2010 International Writing Program (IWP) Residency is now open for nominations. The objective of this program is to bring together a wide range of international and U.S. writers to examine current trends in literature including fiction, drama, poetry, and screenwriting and to explore the creative process involved in writing. Participants will spend 10 weeks in residence at the University of Iowa presenting their work to local audiences, participating in university level workshops and working with translators.
