Last September 20, 2009, I am so fortunate because I was able to attend a seminar entitled “Power Image Thru Effective Communication and Leadership”. It  was held at the UP College of Social Work and Community Development, UP Diliman, Quezon City. It was attended by almost 400 guests coming from different schools within areas of Metro Manila. The seminar started at around 10:00 a.m. and it tackled primarily on issues concerning how to enhance ones’ persona by possessing the qualities of a good leader as well as by acquiring such effective communication skills at present.

 The said seminar was organized by a team called Young Professional Academic Training Center with a very enthusiastic and highly motivated resource speaker named, Dr. Jaime Ang, PhD., and a very good communicator as well. He was been the highlight of the said seminar for his life story was used as an elaboration of the topic itself. On the other hand, the tools he used and his strategy on communicating really did well for most of his audience was all-ears to him including me. Honestly, I enjoyed listening to him. I admired his potential. He has been an inspiration for most of us.

The seminar helped us students to understand the significance of having effective communication skills between individuals and thus be concerned enough by learning how to obtain such skills through application of the points given by the speaker because just by doing such will definitely benefit us all in the future.

 The Speaker: 

Dr, Jaime Ang, PhD, the resource speaker on the seminar entitled “Power Image Thru Effective Communication and Leadership”,  was a dean of CAS at  Perpetual Help College; also a dean at St. Dominic College;  Associate professor DLSU Manila;  John Robert Power instructor; a film critique and a speech consultant.

I was very eager to listen because I enjoyed the speaker’s way of communicating very much. He exudes a high caliber PR just by standing in front of a huge audience. The way he carries him self how he tells the story of his life and how he answers the questions using his remarkable sense of humor and intelligence. I was moved by the manner of how he speaks to his audience as well as by his gestures and not to mention his outstanding and incomparable achievements to date. Truly he captured the ears of his listening audience right away. In addition to that, he was also able to explain clearly his main points regarding the matter itself and he was able to address the key message to his audience which is to enhance his/her own communication skills well because having those kind of attributes will obviously be an investment of a much promising career in the future.
