Ten Minutes

I am blogging this from the school lobby, attempting to capture the essense of what I go through 10 minutes till the start of the next class. Of course, there's a heightened sense of anticipation -not because I'm looking forward to learning, but because I can't wait for the day to end. 5 minutes before the class starts and all I can think about is how to get out of that class early.

To be fair, this is not my attitude towards all classes. There are some major courses that i find so intellectually stimulating that I can't wait for them to begin and am always a bit disappointed when they end. i guess there's just something about Gen-Ed subjects that make one feel compelled to attend them and that's never a good thing.

1 minute till the class and I'm craning my neck, looking for friends I might go to class with. It's this herd instinct that has helped many a student survive the pressure of school from the time they are old enough for day care.

Anyway, turning off my laptop now. time to goto class and maybe grab a little bit of sleep.
