The Fallen Gods
I saw you
I told the breeze as he swooped
And lifted a lady’s skirt
With no one seeing us
But dust and a few scattering leaves
And with a hiss
He said hush…hush
So, Zephyr back off!
You gods have lost your right
To bedevil us mortals
Prometheus had lost his fire
Achilles had athlete’s feet
Hercules went limp…ahay!
Bacchus just another sot
And Zeus’ thunder went pfft!
Now you have Gabriela to reckon with
Wielding harassment laws so stiff
And battered wives have a united front
The Human Rights commissioner’s
Gavel struck hard at the abuse
These Olympians were once amused
The then dreaded divine elite
Meek as vestal virgins in the hearth

I hope I'm correct in deciphering your poem,

Its symbolizes those people who thinks they are gods, playing their egos and intimidating the weak and vulnerable human beings ( women and the poor). Controling or manipulating them by their strength, money and power.
But nowadays, so many NGOs are helping these people to outcry their grievances and give them strength and support they need. It gives them confidence as well to fight these Gods ( abuser, politicians, and etc.)
I hope I'm correct, but if not, I think its good enough to share your thoughts to others.

It's a good poem
A poem where reality and mythology are mixed together. Using mythological characters as a metaphor of what's happening today. Nowadays, many men consider their wives as a commodity. Domestic violence rate are going higher and higher every year. Different kinds of abuses to women ( sexual, physical, emotional, verbal) are seemingly common or ordinary nowadays and laws regarding abuse are very weak and vague.
I hope this will end soon......
