Feel it as it caresses my skin.

Assuring,

I can still hear your laughter echo through my heart.

I can still hear your voice

Whispering,

Calling out to me,

I can still feel your arms around me.

Tell me, why won’t you let me go?

Why are you still here with me?

Why do you still have a part of my heart?

Why are you still in mine?

The alcohol burns my throat as I take it in.

I feel it burn me from the inside.

It’s never the same,

Never like what you did.

I feel the cold metal as I press it against my head.
