I would like to invite you to a poetry-reading presentation of my Pilipino, English, and Spanish poems. The show, "To Speak in Tongues, Sa Ngalan ng Kababaihan," will be held for two Saturdays (February 25 and March 4), from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Newsdesk Cafe on no. 8 Scout Madrinan cor. Produced by Butterflyeffect, Inc., an events advocacy NGO, the poetry reading presentation will have the following guest performers: actors Ronnie Lazaro, Jaime Fabregas, Shamaine Centenera, Roence Santos, and Soliman Cruz; women leaders Nelia Sancho, Maita Gomez, and Risa Hontiveros; writers Joi Barrios, Marne Kilates, Rebecca Anonuevo, Kit Kwe, Nanette Matilac, Benilda Santos, Alma S. Anonas, and Sheila Coronel; singers-composers Cooky Chua, Cynthia Alexander, Girl Valencia and Isha; and Maita Ventanilla, Christel Reyes, Kojih Lanot, Nadja Licad, Nina Licad, PJ Lanot, Louie Barreto, Bethany Licad, and Emily Abrera.

As a writer and representative of the feminist literary movement in the country, I am happy to share these two Saturday nights with you, confident in your commitment to help in the popularization of Philippine literature among young Filipinos.
