About

   Swimming is, probably, one of my favorite activities. It is always fun and healthy. I believe that water is just my element because I cannot imagine my life without swimming. This is why I always try to follow a single event on swimming competitions, and Olympic Games 2008 are not an exception as this year saw numerous records set by the experienced and promising swimmers.

    Indeed, swimming is a competition where speed, the strength of the spirit, and desire to be the first are at stake (Picture 1).Olympic games 2008 have demonstrated brilliant results. In particular, the appearance of 10 km distance has impressed me much since this obstacle is rather serious even for the most skillful swimmers (Picture 2). But I am sure that this distance will be passed faster than I will manage to cope with non plagiarized term paper, or research paper writing.

    When contemplating the swimming races accomplished in different styles, I noticed that each sportsman had his own tactics and swimming techniques to reach the board. I also witnessed that different swimmers had their favorite styles of swimming, like butterfly, backstroke, or freestyle. But all of them try to conceal all the disadvantages instead of showing the utmost results.

    When watching the competition, I always question myself: what impels swimmers win and set records? Desire to proof something? Or to be the first? Or just to leave something for the history of Olympic Games? Who knows, but all variants are possible, no matter which one is the closest to the truth.
