But let’s pretend
That we’ll go on
Forever
In love, we’ll stay
And we’ll be OK
Within the arms
Of each other
Outside the door
There is nothing more
But there’s no need for us
To go out yet
As long as we’re here

Inside we’ll be
Together.
And when it’s time to go
We both will know
That we’ve had
A really good time
We both had fun
And had a good run
And loneliness was forgotten
For a while
But for the time being

the 1st 2 lines just popped in my head and I was able to write 2/3 of the poem in 5 mins and then went back to it and finished it 4 days later. :D
