willows
The violets so vibrant
like a field of glowing stars
Dancing in the warmth
of the sinking orange sun
Watching in solitude
the ebbing apricot sky
As robins soar higher
like tiny sparks of fire
If you could still remember
the smell of sweet incense
Drifting in the crispy air
from fields of lovely flowers
Then let your soul be bathed
in their fragrance so intense
And enjoy the tranquil moments
of the late afternoon hours
If you could hear skylarks
sing under an autumn sky
And remember how to catch
a fluttering butterfly
If you could hum with the rustles
of leaves that have dried
Then you could sing once more
a forgotten lullaby
If you could still listen
to the whispers of trees
Or run after dandelions
blowing in the breeze
If you could find wild roses
in a place among the hills
Then return to the willows
to the valleys and the fields

Nuu ... I like this too.
Simple and sweet ... something I can't accomplish -- yet. :P
