Once upon a time. There was a guy named Jake Baldoza. He is 18 yeas of age and  a 3rd year Nursing student. He is a arrogant, trouble maker, playboy, and boastful, but he is a smart guy. His parents are in Europe and he is the only child in the family. He grew with his parents in the province but when he reached the age of 10, they moved to Manila. After a year, his parents left him when they went to Europe. He reached his puberty unguided because the only company he have at home were his two maids, a gardener and a security guard. He loves music and he was one of the most popular student in the university when he was studying, he was the school heart throb. He has many talents such as playing guitar leading him to be the vocalist in their school band.
 
 He is a self centered guy. He never shows any emotions to others. He is also a member of a fraternity called the "Death Zone". He never  ever want to be defeated and he always gets what he wants no matter what it takes. His pastime is looking for some trouble.

 Actually, he never imagined that his life will turn to a very dark thing to live for. He always dreamed to love a girl that he will love more than his self, a girl that he will protect with his life, and to have a simple life but he cannot do anything to to change the past. It seems that this dreams he had were to impossible to be a dream come true.

 He lived his dark life day after day, and night after night. No body helped him to transform his life for the better but they helped him to make his life so dark and cruel.

 One day, an unexpected car accident happened, he was alive but his left leg was injured. That accident made him miserable. From being a popular student, he turned into an ordinary one. He had been easily forgotten by many and some hated him due to his attitude. No more girls, and no more band. It seems that everything had abandoned him. From being an active socialite, he became a loner and realized that the friend he seriously had was fake, and they only wanted his famousness.

 He suffered so much pain during that time. He never expected that the dark life he had will turn into a worse one and filled with sorrows. Now, he is living his life alone, he was abandoned by his fake friends and never helped him to move on. They teased him, embarrassed him, and always making fun of him. He was kicked out from the band, and from the fraternity. As time passes, they treated him like that he is not existing.

 He decided to move to another school to forget his tragic past. He repeated his 3rd year 1st semester and live his life as normal as possible. but he became a loner at his new school: no friends, no girl friends, its like he almost lost everything. Until one day, someone catches his broken heart. The moment he saw that girl, he felt something that he never ever felt before. Could it be a love at first sight or just to satisfy his lust? He don’t know what to think but the only thing he can assure is that that girl knows how to fix a broken heart.

 He went to their building for his class, during his class, his mind is floating in the air, traveling across the galaxy thinking of that girl. After his class, he immediately went home to rest. The girl he saw that day makes him smile, he felt something extraordinary, a feeling more than lust, a feeling more than friends. He never expected that this things that he is going through right now will arrive to his dark life. He never expected that the girl he saw can bring light and color to his dark world.

 Since that day, he is looking forward to see her again, to ask her name and to be her friend. But every time they meet, he always felt  shy to talk to her coz he is afraid that he might be snubbed because of his injured leg.

 One day, it rained very hard. Good for Jake coz he brought an umbrella. In his way home, he saw the girl at the canteen alone. He is afraid to talk to her but he is also worried so he took a deep breath and went to her. “Hi miss, I’m Jake. Are you waiting for someone?”

 The girl answered “I’m Xanne, I’m just waiting for the rain to stop.” …

 “Nice to meet you,  you know its getting dark and your chilling, where do you live?” he asked again…

 “Not far from here.” she answered.

 “Ah I see. Here… use my jacket, it will keep you warm. For the moment.” he said as he give his jacket.

 The girl accepted it and thanked him for his kindness. Then Jake asked her. “You know its really getting dark and the rain got worse. You can borrow my umbrella and go home. Its dangerous for a young lady like you to walk alone in the dark with this kind of weather, so if it is ok, I’ll just walk with you on your way home.”

 “Well, thanks a lot but you don’t need to do this, I’ll be fine here.” she answered.

 “No, please, its better if you will go home now, and don’t worry, I wont harm you. so lets go?” he said.

 The girl accepted his offer and went on their way. The umbrella was to small for them so Jake sacrifices for Xanne. That night was very cold, he is chilling but he is trying his best to hide it from Xanne. When they arrived at her house, Xanne invited him to come in but Jake insisted. He waved goodbye and went home. He forgot his umbrella and his jacket because he was nervous…   He was very happy, as he lies on his bed. He was thinking about her: her hazel eyes, long black hair, her dimples, her perfect posture and her very smooth skin. He is not sure if the feeling he had was just for lust but it is something more special. He never ever felt this thing before, this feeling he cant understand, this feeling that makes him happy every time he think of Xanne. He fell slept wearing a smile and his heart filled with joy for the first time.

 He woke up early but he felt strange. He was dizzy and chilling and he realized that he got a high fever. He ignored it, he went to the bathroom and took a shower, cooked and eat his breakfast and went to school wearing another jacket. After his class, he saw Xanne at the student park crying.

 “Hello, what’s wrong?” he asked. But the girl didn’t answer. He gave his handkerchief to her. Xanne accepted it and dried her tears.

 “Thanks, your so kind, your jacket is still wet, I’ll just return it later.” she said smiling.

 “No problem. Something wrong? Why are you crying? Just hoping if I can help you.” he said calmly.

 “Oh! Sorry but I don’t want to talk about it. Do you have any classes in the rest of the day?” she asked

 “Oh none, why you ask?” he asked.

 “Oh! I just want to wander around, would you like to come?” she asked.

 “Sure why not.!” he replied happily.

 “So lets go?”

 They went to her car. “so who’s going to drive?” she asked.

 “Uhmm… is there any other transportation? I’m kind of you know… afraid to drive coz I have a little phobia in 4 wheels.” He explained.

 “Oh, its ok… I’ll just be the one to drive. So get in.” she replied.

 So they got in and the girl droved. She noticed that Jake was wearing a jacket yet the sun was already high and its hot. She also noticed that he is chilling so she turned off the air conditioner  and pretended that she didn’t noticed anything. She also droved with the limit of 60 mph for the sake of Jake. First, they went to Chowking to eat because it's already 11 o’clock and they were starving.

 While eating, Jake started a conversation. “So what’s your course?” he started.

 “uhmmm. I’m taking up Bachelor of science in biology. You?”

 “I’m taking up nursing. How old are you anyway?”

 “I’m turning 18 this December. And you?”

 “I just turned 18 last January.”

 “I think your new here? Right?”

 “Yes, I am. And you are the first friend I had here if you consider me as one of your friends?” he said with a smile.

 “Of course I do. After all those things you did for me? Your so kind. May I ask if what is the reason why you transferred here? If it is ok…” she asked.

 “Well. I just want to forget my past and start a new one.” it’s the only  answer he gave.

 “Oh! I see. How deep. Thanks for sharing…” she smiled back.

 “Your very welcome Xanne.” he replied again.

 "By the way Xanne, may i know why are you crying at the park?" he asked.

 She smiled and replied "I just broke-up with my boyfriend."

 "Ohhh.... Why"

 "He cheated on me, I loved him, i Trusted him, but he just......." she cries again.

 "I'm so sorry Xanne..." he replied. tears fell down from his eyes.

 "Thanks you Jake..." she replied as she dries the tears from Jakes face.

 They continued eating and after that. They went for a road trip. While driving, they were, sharing jokes to each other and laugh at the same time. They were so happy like there will be no more tomorrow. Then Jake fainted unexpectedly, Xanne panicked and she drove as fast as she could to the nearest hospital.

 He was confined and Xanne stayed with him through the night. At 3 o’clock a.m. his nurse arrived to check his vital signs. He looked at Xanne and said “Is he your boyfriend?”

 She was surprised on that question and said “What? No! I’m not, I am just a friend. Why? Do you know him?”

 “Of course I know this guy. Want to know who is he… well I’ll tell you… he is my friend, he is arrogant, a trouble maker, play boy, and boastful but he is smart (smiles). He is the heart throb, the guitarist and vocalist of our university, he is also one of the most popular student in our school (proud facial expression). Everybody likes him until the accident happens (sad facial expression). Since that day, they never considered him as their friend anymore because of his injury. That is why he is limping. They forgot him easily, ignored and hated him. I’m the only one who accepted him even after the accident but I never had the chance to show him because of my problems. He thought that all of us was fake and only want to be with him because he was famous. To tell you, he is not arrogant before, he is a loving child but his parents went to Europe and left him here (tears fell down". He never felt the love he wants and never have the attention he wants. I think hi is just doing this nonsense to hide his real feelings.” he explained.

 Xanne was drying her tears and said “Thanks for sharing that but I think he don’t want me to know about those things. We just met yesterday and he was so sweet to me. I can trace the loneliness in him, he said he want to start again and he don’t want to remember the past that he had, now I know why… its just to much to handle”

 “Yes I know, and now that I meet him again, I want to tell him what I felt before but I think its better not to remind him the past because it might just pulverize his broken heart…” he replied.

  “That’s so nice of you. don’t worry, you can tell him the truth when the right time comes.” she said.

 “Thanks, by the way, I’m Anthony.“

 “My name is Xanne.”

 “ok… I’m done here…he is fine now. There is nothing to worry about.”

 “ok. Thanks for everything”

 “No biggy….” he smiled and left.

 She watched him, thinking of his tragic past as she fell asleep.

  Its already 7 o’clock when Jake woke up. He smiled when he saw Xanne beside him sleeping. He is watching her while she is sleeping and he felt so comfortable being with her. Then Xanne woke up, Jake greeted her.

 “Good morning and thanks for every thing.”

 “Good morning too, no need to thank me coz I’m the reason why this  happened to you.” she replied.

 “Oh come on Xanne! don’t be like that.”

 “Sorry,… So are you ready to go?” she asked.

 “Sure thing. Thanks again. I’ll never ever forget this things you did for me.”

 “That’s so sweet of you.” she said

 “Its because your so sweet too.!” he replied.

 “Really? How did you say so?” she asked.

 “Because…… because……. You’re the first one ever helped me like this and I really appreciated it….” he answered plainly.

 “Oh. I see…” she remembered the story that Anthony told her.

 Jake paid the bill on the hospital and they went to Jake’s house. Xanne dropped him and about to drove away when Jake stopped her.

 “Come in for a while” he offered.

 “Well I don’t know. And…….”

 “Please, just for breakfast before you go. Please.” for the first time, Jake beg her.

 “well… ok…. If you say so…” then Xanne got out of the car. She was amazed in what she saw. The garden was very beautiful and very large. The house is a 5 story concrete painted in blue and white. They entered and she cant believe in what she saw. Their living room is like a hotel, it is very large with a bar, large TV set. About 8 ft tall figurines and many more.

 “Good morning Prince, what do you like for breakfast?” the maid asked him.

 “Hmmm… I and Xanne would like to eat soup, spaghetti, and some fruits. And make some hot chocolate also… we will be having our breakfast at the backyard. Thanks.” he replied.

 “Anything else Prince? Ma’am?” she asked again.

 “That would be all thank you.” he replied then the maid left.

 "Ah that's my nick name. My parents gave it to me Because i am the only child in the family.

 "Oh... I see...."

 “Come, I’ll show you to my room” he offered to her.

 “Oh, ok….” she replied .

 His room is located at the 5th floor of their house. The door of his room was the opening of the 5th floor. The door was horizontal and very unique. The whole 5th floor is his room. He has his own living room for guest,  his king size bed, his own bar, bath room, a room for his clothes and shoes, and many cabinets.

 “Oh my God!” are the only words came out from her mouth.

 “Like it?” Jake asked.

 “Yes, its so wonderful.” she replied.

 “Just feel at home ok?…. Explore the area if you want, I’ll just take a bath for the moment.” he said again.

 “Ok. Thanks.” she replied.

 Jake went to the bathroom to take a bath while Xanne started to explore his room. First in his cabinet full of awards that he received. It is like a museum. It is full of gold medals, trophies, plaques, certificates and photos of his achievements like winning the swimming competition, basketball, volleyball, badminton, chess, concerts, and other contests like the search for Mr. heart throb and Ms. Sweet Heart of the year. He is also the captain in their soccer team and dance troop. Now Xanne realized how sad Jake is, when that accident happened, he cannot play basketball, badminton, swimming, soccer and even dancing anymore.

 She went to the other cabinet which houses photo albums and picture frames, the large picture frame at the center caught her eyes. It is Jake when he was young with his parents, they were very happy in that picture. Her heart was very sad coz of Jake, she don’t know why but compared to the happy Jake in the picture and the Jake at present, its just too much for her to handle the sorrow that surrounds to his friend.

 She explored the other parts of the room and stayed at the terrace enjoying the view of the garden while waiting for Jake.

 “Sorry for keeping you waiting” he said as he come out from the bathroom. He is wearing a blue bathrobe.

 “No worries, it is ok.” she replied.

 “Do you like to take some shower ?” Jake asked her.

 “Well that would be great but I have no clothes to wear.” she replied.

 “No worries, leave that to me, just go to the bathroom relax and take a shower and I’ll get some clothes for you, don’t worry, I’ll be back in a jippy.” he said.

 “Ok thanks…” she replied and went to the bathroom. She closed the door, she was amazed again. The bathroom was very beautiful it has a blue tiles in it’s wall, light blue for the flooring, blue for the lavatory and toilet, it also has a large mirror with a silver lining, his bath tub is like a small swimming pool and its powder blue in color. The handle of the faucets are very shiny and the color is so elegant, it is silver with a gold lining for its design. She striped her clothes and took a bath. She relaxed her self on the tub. After 15 minutes, she heard a knock on the door.

 “Who is it?” she asked.

 “I’m the prince’s servant, he commanded me to bring this to you and he said that he’ll meet you at the backyard after your bath.” the maid replied,

 “ok, just put it there thanks you…” she replied.

 After taking a bath, she went to the bed of Jake to get the clothes, the clothes were very pretty and even the undies. The clothes and undies were a perfect fit to her. She went downstairs and the maid guided her to the backyard where Jake is waiting.

 “Thanks for the clothes, they fit perfectly.” she said

 “No problem so, lets eat?” he said…

 “Sure, they look delicious.” she said.

 Jake's backyard looks like a paradise, it has a large landscape, an artificial falls, some fountains and a large swimming pool. Everything was so extra ordinary just like Jake.

 Jake and Xanne eat together while they are chatting. They were like two love birds in a very romantic place. After eating, Xanne waved goodbye.

 Jake was very happy and it seems like he already forgotten about the tragic past. He went to his room to rest and to recover. Then he noticed a letter in his bed, it was from Xanne and the letter said:

Jake;
 Thanks for everything I really appreciated it. Please don’t lose hope,  if you need someone, I’ll always be here for you. Thanks for being nice to me and for your kindness.
 And please stop being a loner coz it will make you ugly. And keep safe always and please don’t change. You know you are a very interesting person and I’m comfortable when I’m with you.

 Jake felt very happy after reading Xanne’s letter. He celebrated it with his maids, gardener and security guard. They were all happy for him because first time ever, they saw him smiling and very very happy.

 After that incident: from being strangers to each other; they become friends; then felt more comfortable to each other and they become best friends. Their development was very nice and fast. After a month they were the best buddies in the world. Almost everyone thinks that they are in a relationship.

 Then one night while they are walking in the plaza. An unexpected thing happened. They encountered two hold uppers. They also want to take Xanne but Jake didn’t think twice and  he just punched the guy holding Xanne. Xanne was screaming while Jake was doing everything he can to protect her, but unfortunately he got stabbed in his leg (his limping leg). The criminals ran away, Xanne panicked and help Jake to her car and drove to the nearest hospital. She was crying while Jake was in the operating room. After 1 hour they put him in his room and thank God, he is safe now.

 “You know, your so stupid sometimes, but I’m glad that your ok now.” said Xanne as she cries again.

 “Hey, don’t worry ok, and I wont let something bad will happen to you., your so important to me and it is too much for me to handle if I lost you.” he stated with a smile.

 “oh Jake…” she embraced him and kissed him for the first time in his lips.

 They were shocked about that incident and didn’t able to talk for a moment. Xanne blushed and so with Jake.

 “Sorry about that…” Xanne said finally.

 “It’s ok. don’t worry about it.” Jake replied.

 Those moments in the hospital was very memorable for him coz while he recovering, Xanne is the one who is taking good care of him. They become more closer than ever and didn’t noticed that they were both falling in love with each other. After a month, Jake got out from the hospital and stopped his studies because of that incident.

 The next semester, he continued his studies and he decided that he will do everything to catch the heart of the angel that brought light and color to his world.

 All of his plans went smoothly until his x-boyfriend entered the scene. He is Richard Rabara, he is tall, white and handsome but he is nothing compared to Jake the only problem is Xanne and Jake had a past. Jake was worried but only Xanne can decide. but unfortunately, Xanne choose Richard.

 Jake's world was blown into bits and his heart was torn into a million pieces. It caused him so much pain, his angel, his love, his life and his everything was taken away from him.

 One day, while he is walking... some guys stepped in his way, they punched him, kicked him, and almost killed him, before he fainted, he saw Richard laughing.

 At the hospital, when he woke up, He saw Xanne. Xanne was crying and Jake noticed that Xanne has some bruises and cuts.

 "Sorry Jake, I know Richard did it to you, he tried to rape me last night but thanks to your Bodyguard, he helped me." Xanne explained.

 "What do you mean?" Jake asked.

 "Come on Jake, Since I and Richard restarted our relationship, I saw your bodyguard everywhere, it seems like he is following me and since that incident. Your bodyguard, Mr. Eric, told me everything." Xanne answered.

 "Ohhhh... I see...."

 "Thank you for everything Jake. How can I ever repay you. Don't you know that this things means so much to me? oh Jake......."

 "Ssshhhh.... Xanne, don't worry... ok? I did all of this things for you because you made my life complete. You colored my world and fixed my broken heart, you mean so much to me, you are my one, my only, my everything. I love you Xanne. I loved you since the day we first met. and I am willing to give up everything for you, even it costs my own life...." he replied.

 Xanne cried and didn’t able to talk. She was shocked and speechless. Jake painted in his bed and Xanne panicked. She called for the nurse and she saw blood... blood! coming from Jake's mouth. Xanne don’t able to handle the scene and she painted.

 It is already 7:00 pm when Xanne woke up. She was confined and she saw her parents crying.

 "Mom? Dad? what happened?" she asked clueless.

 "You fainted dear. Anthony, the nurse called us and said that you fainted because your friend was in danger and you are so worried for him.... Her mother said.

 She remembered Jake. " where is Jake? How is he?"

 "Jake? is he your friend?" her Mom asked.

 "I want to see him..." she said again

 Anthony entered the room to check Xanne.

 "How is Jake?" she asked again...

 "Don't worry, he is stable now, his parents are there too," Anthony replied.

 "Ah... thanks God".... she don't want to disturb their family reunion so she just toke a rest." So how are you and Jake?"

 "Where fine now, i was able to tell him everything before you arrived and thanks to God, he accepted me again as his friend." Anthony answered.

 After a week, Xanne visited Jake, Xanne wasn’t able to tell her parents about Jake so her parents was clueless. She saw Jake at the Garden when she arrived.

 "I think it is time to star over again." Jake said.

 "I think you’re right."

 The feeling they had once bloomed once again. After a month, Xanne accepted Jake's love in a very romantic candle light dinner at the roof top of Jake's mansion.

 After that, Jake  invited Xanne at their house to have some picnic, she also brought her parents so that she can introduce them to Jake formally. All those troubles was hidden as secret until that time when Xanne told every single secret they hid from the last 5 months. Her parents was very amazed and accepted Jake with all their heart.

 Five years later, they realized that it was time for them do discuss about the wedding since they where together for almost seven years and faced all the problems and any hindrance together, they proved that their love was strong and will grow stronger as time goes by. 

 Jake called his parents about the wedding and his parents was excited and very proud of him. That time, Jake was already a professional  nurse and Xanne was a successful biologist. His parents flew home to discuss the wedding with the Smith Family.

 The wedding was set on 24th of March 2009, and that’s a 3 months of preparation, The budget of the wedding was worth of 15,ooo,ooo pesos. They want that the wedding of their only son to be very memorable and very elegant.

 And the time has come for the union of two hearts to be one in the eyes of God. Everything was very romantic. Lots of white roses every where, the guests are in white and almost everything are white. The flower girl threw white rose’s petals in the red carpet, then the time of the bride has come. Xanne was gorgeous escorted by his father, they marched proudly with tears of joy.

 Then its  time for the ring:

Xanne: Jake, take this ring as a symbol of my endless tender loving care for you.   May this ring remind you of my promise that I will love you until forever  ends  with all my heart, body and soul.  You will be my one and only  forevermore. I  love you babe.

Jake: Xanne take this ring as a little circle of trust and may this ring remind you  that  my love is like as circle that will never ever end, with this ring I promise  you that  I will protect you no matter what it takes, and I will love you till  the end of  time. I love you babe.

 Then he kissed the bride…. Their parents prepared a surprise honeymoon for them around the world. And they returned at the Philippines after a year.

 A few weeks latter after they arrived, Xanne had a strange feeling so they brought her to the hospital, and after 5 hours the doctor came out of the emergency room and he was happy to say that Jake was a father. Jake was very happy and raced to the room where his family were located. He is so happy when he saw his son.

 “Oh my God, he is an  Adonis.” he said proudly.

 “Yes, he is like you”  Xanne said.

 “So what will be his name?” she asked again.

 “ We will call him Alex Jay Cruz Baldoza” he said

 “What an adorable name babe,.” she said.

 After a week, Xanne was able to come out from the hospital and Jake’s parents arrived at that same day. They were so happy to see their Grandson. They decided to celebrate at the Baldoza’s residence .

 And they lived Happily ever after.
